Applications are Open for the IWT CLASP Certificates in Global Pedagogy and Online Liberal Arts

Deadline: Wednesday, December 30, 2026
Online Event
The IWT CLASP offers two certificates for faculty from GHEA21 partner institutions who wish to deepen their global classroom practice: Certificate in Global Pedagogy and Certificate in Online Liberal Arts.

Certificate in Global Pedagogy is a microcredential for faculty who want to make engaged global learning central to their global classrooms.
Certificate in Online Liberal Arts is a microcredential for faculty who want to build and sustain dynamic, interactive online classrooms grounded in writing-rich liberal arts pedagogies.

To earn the certificate:
  • Faculty must actively participate in at least six IWT CLASP workshops per certificate offered over the course of the 2026–2027 academic year.
  • Two of the workshops must have a particular emphasis on global learning or online arts liberal arts, depending on the desired certificate. Workshops with their particular emphasis on global learning are marked on the IWT CLASP website.
It is possible to begin the certificate at any time during the Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 workshop series, provided there are enough remaining workshops to fulfill the certificate requirements. However, space in workshops is limited – interested faculty are encouraged to apply for the certificate and register for workshops that interest them as soon as possible.
