“Leadership in Times of Crisis” is a half-day interactive workshop designed for students across the GHEA21 network. In light of recent global challenges, the session focuses on strengthening self-awareness, self-confidence, and effective communication skills as essential leadership tools during times of uncertainty and change. Through guided reflections, partner exercises, and practical activities, participants will explore how to distinguish between facts, feelings, and assumptions, practice active listening, and build respectful and clear communication strategies. This workshop will be facilitated by Meaghan Balzer, Academic Director at the Haitian Education and Leadership Program (HELP).9:30 am
Workshop Goals:
- Strengthen students’ self-awareness and self-confidence as emerging leaders.
- Develop practical communication skills for navigating conflict and crisis situations.
- Encourage reflection on personal leadership styles and growth.
- Provide interactive tools and exercises that participants can apply in academic, professional, and community settings.
