Aigul Karimova

American University of Central Asia

Aigul Karimova, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Education, American University of Central Asia, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, teaches Lesson Design, Planning & Assessment, and Developing a Learning Environment courses as part of the GHEA21 Certificate in Education program, supporting incoming graduate students in their transition into professional teacher education. She also serves as Orientation Lead for the IOE Master of Arts in Teaching program. Aigul holds an MA in Teaching and brings to her courses a strong commitment to reflective, evidence-based pedagogy rooted in frameworks including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and Design thinking. Her teaching is particularly oriented towards preparing educators to work effectively in culturally and institutionally diverse contexts.
