Azamat Sakiev

American University of Afghanistan

Azamat Sakiev has academic background in political science, specifically international and comparative politics. He considers himself a learner and educator who strongly believes in the transformative and equalizing power of higher education. He strives to embody this philosophy in his teaching by fostering a curiosity-driven learning process. He holds graduate degrees from Syracuse University and Central European University, and completed his undergraduate studies at American University of Central Asia. Over the past decade, he has served as a college-level professor, offering a diverse teaching portfolio that spans entry-level survey courses to upper-level seminars, independent study programs, and graduate-level courses.
