Cagla Ekin Güner

Bard College

Çağla Ekin Güner received her PhD in Political Science from Central European University (CEU), Vienna, in April 2026. She currently holds a research affiliate position at the Department of Public Policy at CEU. Her recent research focuses on gender and intersectionality, urban integration governance, labor market vulnerabilities of refugees and urban citizenship. She holds a BA degree in political science and international relations from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, with a minor degree in economics, and an MA degree in political science from Central European University, Budapest, with a specialization in political economy. She published a single-authored article in the Journal of Immigrant and Refugee Studies. She has taught and assisted various courses on political institutions, migration and governance, social sciences methods, and political economy. For the past 3 years, she has been co-hosting a podcast that aims to bring together academic perspectives on migration with personal migration experiences.
