Cathy Raymond

American University of Afghanistan

Dr. Cathy Raymond works as Associate Professor of Practice in English at the American University of Afghanistan. She was a Fulbright Scholar at the Aga Khan Humanities Project in Tajikistan and a Fulbright Researcher at Fergana State University in Uzbekistan, and her work in the Afghan context includes contributions to the Afghan Higher Education Project and to a Fulbright Educational Exchange between Indiana University and KEU-Afghanistan. She also served as Program Director for an online English language and mentoring program for girls and women in Afghanistan. Her textbook Cross-Cultural Narrative Inquiry: Embracing Curiosity, Cultural Humility, and the Imagination was published by Routledge in 2025.
