Ezra Winton

American University in Bulgaria

Dr. Ezra Winton is an Assistant Professor of Journalism, Media, and Communication at the American University in Bulgaria, where he teaches courses on writing, documentary, visual communication, Semiotics, and Ecomedia. Dr. Winton’s research has focused on documentary, cultural politics, ethics, and Indigenous media arts in Canada. His new research combines his interests in identity formation, media, and environmental attitudes and activism. He is currently finishing a book on documentary, film festivals, and neoliberalism, and is in the early stages of a research project on youth, identity, media literacy, and climate change.
