Helen Epstein

Bard College

Helen Epstein is Visiting Professor of Human Rights and Global Public Health at Bard College. She writes frequently for the New York Review of Books, the Nation and other publications. She is the author of Another Fine Mess: America, Uganda and the War on Terror (Columbia Global Reports 2017) and The Invisible Cure: Why We Are Losing the Fight against AIDS in Africa (FSG/Picador 2008). She has also worked as a consultant for UNICEF, the World Bank, Human Rights Watch and other international organizations.
