Hidayet Siddikoglu

American University of Afghanistan

Hidayet Siddikoğlu is a founding partner of the Bilim Organization for Research and Social Studies, a non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Kabul. He also serves as a Local Coordinator for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in Ankara, Türkiye. Additionally, he works as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the American University of Afghanistan, currently operating in Doha, Qatar. His primary research interests focus on forced displacement, including refugees and internally displaced persons, with regional expertise spanning Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and Türkiye. Currently, he is the Principal Investigator for the Decentering the Study of Migrant Returns and Return Politics Project, funded by EU Horizon. He has an extensive publication record in the field of migration studies. Dr. Siddikoğlu earned his Ph.D. from Hiroshima University and holds two master’s degrees: one in Development Science from Hiroshima University and another in Internation
