Idil Brand

Central European University

Idil Brand is a Ph.D. candidate at Central European University whose teaching and research focus on decolonial and feminist approaches to global politics. She designs her courses to support students in critically examining dominant narratives of modernity, eurocentrism, and knowledge, while linking global political structures to lived experience. Her current research explores alternative spiritual practices as a lens for understanding how global ideas travel, transform, and are negotiated in local contexts. Informed by her academic and professional formation within diverse cross-cultural environments, she creates an inclusive and discussion-driven classroom that connects global theory to lived experience.
