Lina Kaseem

American University of Afghanistan

Dr. Lina Kassem has a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati. Her most recent position was in the Government Department at William and Mary in the U.S. Prior to that, she spent several years in the Middle East and South Asia, teaching at Zayed University in the UAE, Qatar University, and the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh. Lina’s primary research interests include gender and law, Palestine, human rights, women in Islam, and Middle East politics.
