Mahendran Chokkalingam

American University of Central Asia

Dr. Mahendran Chokkalingam is an Assistant Professor in the Sociology department at the American University of Central Asia. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Anthropology from Central European University (2022, Austria), a Master of Philosophy in Sociology from the University of Delhi (2014, India), a Master of Arts in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (2011, India), and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Sacred Heart College (2009, India).

Dr. Mahendran Chokkalingam joined AUCA in 2022 and teaches Sociology and Anthropology courses. He was a teaching assistant to MA level courses “Common Marginalization” at CEU, a science teacher at St Jude School, a teaching fellow at the Department of Social Work at the University of Delhi, and a research fellow at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
