Nurgul Dzhanaeva

American University of Central Asia

Nurgul Dzhanaeva has PhD in Philosophy from the Leningrad State University in 1983. Her PhD focused on the concept of the ecological crisis. Experience in higher education: teaching, university development, university administration, state attestation committees member. She participated in the assessment of Adelphi University on Long Island, USA. Experience in the civil society area: Initiator of a CSO “Forum of women's NGOs of Kyrgyzstan”, an NGO with a UN ECOSOC consultative status; Board member of regional and global CSO networks; an Organizing Partner of the UN Women’s Major Group for SDGs. Currently she is serving as a Non-Executive Co-chair of the Global Partnership for effective development cooperation/GPEDC. Nurgul Dzhanaeva has vast global training experience. Nurgul Dzhanaeva has been a speaker in many country, regional and international fora, has a series of research and publications.
