Nurgul Ukueva

Bard College

Nurgul Ukueva is a Visiting Associate Professor of Economics at Bard College and an Associate Professor of Economics at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). Dr Ukueva received her PhD in Economics from Duke University with specialization in Development and International Economics. She served as the Chair of the Economics Department, and Vice President for Academic Affairs at AUCA, was an OSUN Visiting Research Fellow at Bard College. Her recent research focuses on international migration and migrant remittances, gender wage differences and determinants of female labor supply in Central Asia.
