Sharmistha Ghosh

Sharmistha Ghosh is an Assistant Professor in the School of General Education, BRAC University, Dhaka since September, 2022. She has previously taught at the Asian University of Women, Chittagong and The University of Washington, Seattle. She received her Masters degrees in political science, public policy and gender studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, University of Texas, Austin and University of Washington, Seattle, respectively. Her PhD in Social Sciences is from the Center for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta; Jadavpur University. Her research interests include gender power dynamics, gender based violence, development, politics and women’s empowerment.
