Viktor Lagutov

Central European University

Dr Victor Lagutov holds MSc degrees in Applied Mathematics and Environmental Sciences and Policy, and a PhD in Environmental Sciences and Policy. He serves as a Professor and the Head of the Systems Laboratory at Central European University. His expertise lies in the application of digital technologies across diverse domains, including disaster management, climate change, water, and food security. Dr Lagutov combines his academic activities with practical projects on a global scale, with a focus on the science-policy interface and international cooperation in Central Asia. He collaborates with numerous international organizations, such as the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), among others. He has established the OSUN's GeoHub and ISEPEI Projects, aimed at fostering OSUN’s capacity in geospatial technologies.
